Nouveau is a small customer focused decorating company. As a qualified and skilled painter and wallpaper hanger, having over 35 years experience in the industry, Andrew is an expert at providing quality, professional painting and decorating for home and and other property owners throughout Arran

Having recently moved from New Zealand to Scotland, Andrew is excited about continuing his high level of service in painting and decorating to customers on Arran

Andrew completed his apprenticeship in painting & decorating in New Zealand in 1990, and has continued his commitment to excellent service and workmanship in decorating for customers in New Zealand, Australia and now here on Arran.

After 3 years study in art and design he was awarded a Bachelor of Visual Arts & Design from EIT Hawke's Bay, New Zealand ,in 2000, expanding his knowledge and professional development in decorative painting and interior design.

Andrew's expertise in art & design enables him to assist clients when choosing colours and wallpapers to best suit their existing decor, or when putting together a whole new look.

He has also served as a vocational teacher in painting and decorating as well as wallpaper hanging, mural painting and decorative finishes, passing on his expertise to apprentices and adults, in training colleges throughout Queensland, Australia.

The name 'Nouveau' is inspired by the influential 19th century art movement - 'Art Nouveau' or 'New Art' that began in Austria. It was characterized by a celebration of the flowing organic forms of nature. In Scotland, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his wife Margaret Macdonald founded 'Glasgow Style', and so began the unique form of Art Nouveau, influential throughout the world
